I can be booked to speak at your association's conference or tradeshow either as a classroom presenter or as a keynote speaker!  I have shared my messages with several tradeshows and hundreds of multifamily professionals in the past and whether I'm talking on resident retention, conflict resolution, employee retention or marketing, my audiences always come away with great information and a contagious sense of energy to put plans in motion!

Social Media Training and Consulting
Looking at jumping in to the Social Media ocean but not sure if you know how to swim?  Call me and I can help you get your portfolio set up for success.  Unlike other companies, I train your people on how to manage their own social media outlets so that when we reach the end of our contract, your own employees can take the reigns with confidence, creativity,  and intelligence.   I only take a set number of clients for this kind of job, as it is an extended process, so if you are interested, please contact me and let's get started!
 
Shopping Services
Whether it's seeing what your email responses look like to the rest of the world or finding out if your consultants are engaging on the phone, I take a thorough approach to shopping your property.  Different from regular shopping companies, I also offer an option to help you fix the problems that you're seeing in your shop reports.  And  I'm  willing to throw your people a curve ball - tours with dogs, questions about privacy and fair housing that aren't as easy to spot, or anything else you want to see if your people can handle, I'm up for it!  On site shops are only available for properties in Western Washington (Seattle/Tacoma area), or by special contract for other areas of the country.  Call for pricing structures and rates.
 
Conference Calls
Whether you need some brainstorming power on new marketing ideas, team building, advice on how to handle an employee situation or help with another common problem on the people end of the spectrum, I'm more than happy to pitch in.  I offer conference calls at a rate of $150/hr for properties and $200/hr for suppliers.  Please email me at heather@behindtheleasingdesk.com to set up a time.
 
Research and Writing
Are you looking for content?  Do you have a project coming up that you'd like to outsource the research on?  I'm a great researcher of raw data, and can take your project a step further by interpreting it for you as well.  If it's content you're looking for, then you've come to the right place.  I love to write for both web content and print publications.  Please talk to me about your project and we can discuss the compensation structure.
 
Special Projects Contracting
Need to re-brand your whole community?  What about your whole portfolio?  Getting ready to jump in to the deep waters of Social Media with your marketing?  These kinds of big projects take a different kind of commitment from your consultant, and it's one that I am more than happy to make for you.  Due to the nature of this type of job, there are only a limited amount of SPCs I can take in a given quarter, so it is available on a first come first serve basis.  A retainer fee is almost always recommended, but not required, as the way to go on this sort of arrangement.
 
Conflict Mediation and Other Minor Human Resources Functions
Can't get members of your team to talk?  If you haven't yet had the chance to develop the skills needed to effectively mediate conflict between your team members (because it's not something you learn overnight!) give me a call!  I'm more than happy to help your team work out any problems and to make sure that they get re-focused on doing their jobs, not on inhibiting the work flow.
I also have experience with and offers minor human resources functions, such as documentation trails for the eventual dismissal of an employee and advice on the best course of action, employee evaluation writing techniques, running reference checks, and interviewing/hiring services.
 
Community Assessment
Depending on your specific needs, I can produce a complete community assessment work up or I can just focus on what you think the problem areas are.  I highly recommend that you do invest in the complete assessment, because often times the problems or improvements that can be made take their roots in areas that we don't always expect.  Price for this depends on community size.  Please contact me for details.
 
On-site Team Assessment

Team Building and Goal Setting Workshops
For a team to be productive, they've all got to be moving towards the same goal, and to get them all in the right direction, you first have to get them all working together. I will take your team through some simple exercises to help them better relate and communicate with each other, and then, as a team, I will help them formulate interlaced goals for the next 6 months that focus on current trends, outstanding improvements that need to be made, management direction and accountability to each other.
